    "
Rare. Low cert. no. 7, issued for 12 shares to James K. Morehead on Sept. 5th, 1848 in Lewistown. Signed by the president, A. Wilson, and treasurer Chas. Rits. Not cancelled. Black print, no vignette of printer listed. 6.25 x 7.5" Folds, creases, some toning. This company built a bridge over the Juniata River in Pennsylvania. The company was incorporated in 1838. They started building a bridge but a large flood in 1847 destroyed all of their progress. They rebuilt and the bridge was finished and in use in 1849. In the 1860s, the Pennsylvania Railroad added a track to it."
