Description

1891 autograph note signed by Winsor Brown French (1832-1910), who started the civil war as captain in the 77th New York, later serving as colonel of that unit and receiving a postwar brevet as brigadier general.  On the letterhead of his law firm; mounted to album page along left edge of document.
